ABOUT US
Trinity Church Totton came into being in 1988 with the coming together of Totton United Reformed Church and Totton Methodist Church. The URC chapel was sold and the Methodist chapel has become the Totton Christian Centre. The present church was opened in 1992 in West Totton, which was then being developed for housing. The infrastructure was there for roads and easy access to the motorway.
Trinity is well established. We are a "joint" church (Local Ecumenical Project) with the URC and Methodist churches and our members are also members of both denominations.
Ministerial oversight revolves between the United Reformed Church and the Methodist Church. Currently our Minister is from the Methodist Church.
Trinity has links with the Churches in the Totton, Eling, Calmore, Colbury and Netley Marsh area through Churches Together in Totton and the Forest Edge (CTTFE). This ecumenical organisation arranges joint services and events through the year bringing congregations together for worship, fun and fellowship.
Trinity is part of the Wessex Synod of the United Reformed Church and the Southampton District and the Southampton Circuit of the Methodist Church.
